The PRC Have started their pre-season today with the annual Pre Season Match the “AKAROA CUP ” played at Lancaster Park.
This match used to be played at the old PRC Headquarters in Lyttleton Christchurch prior the devastating earthquake that hit the region 3 years ago . The PRC offices are still located their but all Official Matches are now played at Lancaster Park after PRC Stadium in Lyttleton was damaged beyond repair.
So once again we see the Peninsula Whalers play the Peninsula Pioneers in on of the longest running WFR Club Inter-Trophy games.
The Whalers are having their second outing of the season after their narrow loss to the Wellington Dolphins in the Season Opener and will be looking to bounce back , while the Pioneers have a number of new faces to parade before their fans so they too will be looking at providing an upset to their brother franchise.
