G1RA Newsflash
Cape Town can be very lucky to have pulled the rabbit out of the hat, scoring 2 tries in the last minutes of the game against Pretoria to draw 17 all.
If the want any chance of taking the African Cup, then they need to notch up a few gears and beat Nairobi. On the other side of the globe Narbonne and Berlin looking fine in winning their first 2 matches and if they stay focused, setting up a cracker of a final match against each other to win the preseason tournament and setting the tone for their next match against each other in the premiership.
G1RA unfortunately lost their matches so far but showed some class in defeat as they lost the matches closely. These tight matches might be useful come the season and the young guns are soaking the moment up and banking the experience.
For round 3 Cardiff and Saitama would want to win their matches against the unbeaten Berlin and Narbonne teams to level the scores and stand a chance of making it to the top of the log. The winning team not only wins the tournament but could also play the winner of the African challenge.
The extra motivation will be in the back of their minds as a loss would take them out of contention. In the meantime Star and G1RA will probably fight it out for the wooden spoon but also get a chance to have a go at each other before they meet again during the Alliance trophy. A win here could give a great amount of positive energy ahead of their next clash.
