G1RAs yearly preseason tournament has received a different make up this year. “With Cape Town taking part in the African Challenge they will not line up against their fellow Alliance teams. We have invited a few other teams from the Star Alliance (who revamped the African Challenge) to participate in our own European Challenge to then see the African winner line up against the European winner for the transatlantic trophy.”
The G1RA CEO also said that: “The transatlantic trophy has been collecting dust over the past seasons and this is the right time to get it dusted and dished out.”
Berlin, Narbonne and the G1RA development squad will battle it out with the Star Alliance development squad and their fellow Clubs – Saitama Samurai and Cardiff Fury. The G1RA Management is very happy about the deal saying: “that is what Rugby is all about. Getting together and having players from all over experiencing the essence of Rugby Union. Berlin will be buzzing and all the players involved are sure to find out what the German Capital has to offer.”
The tournament will consist out of 5 rounds and then the North VS South Final at the End.
