BC Lumberjacks Debut

The BC Lumberjacks are set to make their debut in the WFF Knock Out Trophy, taking on their U.S. neighbours, the Californian Grizzlies. Captained by veteran Canadian international Tyler Ardron, the team is eager to make a lasting impression on the WFR."Canada is a region that has oddly been neglected in the WFR," Ardron said. "We've seen one or two teams pop up only to relocate or fold entirely. Most of our roster has spent the season playing for various other teams across the league. To finally have a dedicated Canadian team backed by the Peninsula Rugby Alliance in British Columbia is massive. We know this is a long-term project, and we are excited to build on this foundation."To bolster the squad's top-level experience, the Lumberjacks have secured international talent. Stars Rieko Ioane and Tamaiti Williams join the ranks from the Hibiscus franchise, alongside Australian international Jake Gordon and playmaker Josh Ioane, rounding out a formidable side ready for the trophy challenge.
