The Peninsula Whalers Announce New Signings and Draft Picks Following Roster Shake-Up

Following six high-profile retirements at the conclusion of WFR XXX, the Peninsula Whalers have officially unveiled their replacement players and new draftees ahead of the WFR XXXI squad expansion.
The Whalers have heavily reinforced their front row with the addition of props Finlay Brewis, Lewis Ponini, and elite veteran George Bower. The engine room also sees massive upgrades with the signing of experienced lock Sam Darry alongside highly touted young up-and-comer Tahlor Cahill.
In an exciting family narrative, hooker Henry Bell arrives to challenge his brother, George, in a fierce competition for the starting rake spot. Joining the Bell brothers in the hooker stable is veteran North Canterbury country rugby standout Nick Hyde.
The backline receives an injection of both youth and versatility. New Zealand Under-20 representative James Cameron joins to bolster the midfield as a direct replacement for departing veteran Ryan Crotty, while dynamic utility back Ngane Punivai completes the stellar incoming class.
