Grizzlies scrum-half Zion Going forced to retire

After returning back to Northland, New Zealand after a tough WFR with the Grizzlies. Zion Going has been struck down with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) an rapid-onset autoimmune condition that has currently left him in paralysis, and a long return to rugby if possible at all.
“Our hearts here at the Grizzlies go out to Zion and his family the go through this tough time,” responded Grizzles head coach Jack Clark in a official statement.
“Zion, was a major cog here in our plans for WFRXXXI after a overall disappointing WFRXXX season. The boys will try use this news to motivate honour how he played for the Grizzlies and how much he was respected in the club,” commented club captain Jason Damm.
The search is now on to find another replacement after a spate of retirements and releases from WFRXXX has the club with a number of gaps in the roster. This was one search they weren’t looking to have to do.
