The long road through WFR XXX is complete — and the Leeds Tigers of England have been crowned WFR Premiership Champions after a commanding 42–17 Grand Final victory over the Southern Swashbucklers.
After finishing the regular season as Minor Premiers, Leeds carried that form through the Finals and saved another huge performance for the biggest stage of them all.
🔥 LEEDS TAKE CONTROL OF THE FINAL
Southern certainly came to play. Despite Leeds enjoying 54% of the first-half possession, the Swashbucklers actually controlled 63% of the territory, and both teams recorded nine line breaks.
But Leeds were ruthless when their opportunities arrived.
By halftime the Tigers had already piled on 27 points, opening a substantial 15-point advantage:

Southern were still alive — but they needed something special in the second forty.
Instead, Leeds tightened their grip on the WFR Trophy.
🐯 THE TIGERS FINISH THE JOB
The Minor Premiers continued to turn possession into points and ultimately crossed for seven tries in the Grand Final.
Tommy Freeman was the only player to score twice, while Joe Heyes, George Martin, Ben Earl, George Ford and Alex Lewington also crossed the Southern line.
For the Swashbucklers, Samisoni Taukei'aho, Jordan Sepho and Julian Savea scored their three tries, with Danyon Morgan-Puterangi adding one conversion.

Interestingly, Southern dominated the scrum count 11–6, but Leeds were able to overcome that advantage with their ability to turn possession and attacking chances into points.
Southern conceded three penalties to Leeds' one, while the Tigers committed 12 handling errors compared with eight from the Swashbucklers.
