📺 WFR TV Match of the Week
Peninsula Pioneers 15 – 0 Perth Reds

The Peninsula Pioneers produced one of the defensive performances of the season to blank Perth Reds in the final WFR TV Match of the regular season.

Holding a 15-0 halftime advantage, the Pioneers controlled possession for long periods, dominating the opening forty minutes with an incredible 78% possession while never allowing Perth to establish any attacking rhythm.

Stone and Harford crossed for the Pioneers, while Harford added the conversion and an expertly taken drop goal to complete the scoring.

Although Perth enjoyed more territory after halftime, Peninsula's defence never cracked, completing a deserved shutout victory to finish their season on a high.

🦅 Hawkes Bay Magpies 41 – 21 Brisbane Pirates

The Magpies spoiled Brisbane's celebration with a five-try performance at home.

Josh Kaifa starred with a hat-trick while Drew Wild scored twice as Hawkes Bay built a commanding 31-14 halftime lead before controlling the second half.

Brisbane never stopped competing, with Matt Faessler scoring twice and Elrigh Louw adding another, but the result could not deny them the Conference One title.

🇫🇷 Paris Titans 33 – 27 Santiago Condors

Paris held off a stirring second-half comeback from the Condors in one of the matches of the round.

Victor Hannoun was outstanding, scoring a try and kicking four conversions, while captain Ugo Vignolles crossed twice.

Santiago fought back from 28-10 down to trail by just one point before Paris landed the decisive late try to finish their campaign with an impressive away victory.

🇦🇷 Buenos Aires Bombers 21 – 10 Californian Grizzlies

The Bombers closed their season strongly with an impressive road victory.

Joaquin de la Vega Mendia contributed with the boot, Homero Picone landed a valuable first-half drop goal, while Lucio Sordoni and Marcos Moneta scored the tries that secured victory after a tightly contested opening half.

🌋 Taupo Toa 22 – 0 Edinburgh Cannon

Taupo Toa finished their season with a commanding shutout victory.

Akira Ioane scored twice before leaving with injury, while Etene Nanai-Seturo also crossed as Rivez Reihana controlled the game superbly with accurate goal kicking.

Defensively Taupo were outstanding, keeping Edinburgh scoreless for the full eighty minutes.
