Rhinos Stamp Their Authority, Dolphins Hit 55, Whalers Run Riot
Round Nine of the WFR XXX Premiership produced another weekend of high-quality rugby, with the title race tightening while several clubs produced statement victories.
The Capitol Rhinos delivered one of their finest performances of the season in the WFR TV Match of the Week, Wellington Dolphins continued their attacking brilliance, Peninsula Whalers ran rampant in New Mexico, Galway toppled the defending leaders, Central Vikings kept themselves firmly in Finals contention, while Leeds Tigers returned to winning ways.

Capitol Rhinos 49 – 17 Hibiscus Heat
The Rhinos delivered a championship-quality performance in front of their home supporters.
Despite Hibiscus Heat remaining within touching distance at 28-17 at halftime, Capitol completely dominated the second forty minutes, shutting the visitors out while piling on another three unanswered tries.
The Rhinos crossed seven times, with Venter scoring twice while Coetzee, Gonzalez and Barrett all featured heavily in an irresistible attacking display.
Their defence was equally impressive, conceding just two tries all evening while controlling almost 60% possession and producing fourteen line breaks.
A huge statement victory as Capitol continues its Premiership charge.

Galway ended Silverstream's winning momentum with an entertaining eight-try contest.
Duhan van der Merwe proved unstoppable, scoring a magnificent hat-trick, while Antoine Dupont controlled the match superbly from halfback.
Silverstream fought back repeatedly after trailing 26-12 at halftime, narrowing the margin to just four points before Galway's powerful finish sealed an important victory.

The Dolphins produced another attacking masterclass.
Carter Gordon was sensational, scoring four tries, kicking six conversions and adding a penalty goal in one of the individual performances of the season.
Ardie Savea, Brad Shields, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen and Josh Moorby also crossed as Wellington piled on eight tries to overwhelm a dangerous Southern Swashbucklers outfit.

The Whalers were simply unstoppable.
Richie Mo'unga orchestrated a breathtaking attacking display, scoring four tries while adding six conversions for a remarkable individual haul.
The visitors led 33-0 at halftime before continuing their dominance after the break, with George Bridge, Cullen Grace, Cornell du Preez and Jamie Hannah also crossing.

Leeds bounced back in style despite losing George Ford to injury early in the contest.
Ford scored twice before leaving the field, while Max Malins, Tommy Freeman and Fraser Dingwall completed an impressive five-try victory.
Durban showed more fight in the second half through Cameron Hanekom and Ben-Jason Dixon, but Leeds' forward dominance proved decisive.
