Two Wild players stood down after breaking curfew
2026-06-26 22:50:25
Two Silverstream Wild players have broken team curfew after a nightclub incident in Wellington after their win over the Capital Rhinos.
The two Wild players involved are Jackson Garden-Bachop and Riley Higgins. Both have been stood down for the Wilds' next match against the New Mexico Diablos.
Wild coach Scott Waldrom was frank in his assessment "They both had a lapse of judgement, the club has higher expectations, and they have to pay the price with having to have a week off. They will both be available for selection against the Southern Swashbucklers in round 5."
No information on the incident was made available, just that they had arrived back late to the teams hotel.
