Under the lights of Albuquerque Sports Stadium, the New Mexico Diablos welcome the Galway Greyhounds for the opening Premier Conference WFR TV showcase of the new season. And what a way to begin. New Mexico and Galway crossed paths during the knockout stages of WFR XXX, but all of that is history now. The standings have been wiped clean, a new campaign has arrived, and both clubs have the opportunity to strike the first blow of WFR XXXI. For the Diablos, this is their territory. With 10,510 supporters packed into Albuquerque Sports Stadium, New Mexico will look to turn their desert home into an intimidating fortress. The Diablos bring fire, aggression and ambition — and nothing would announce their championship intentions more clearly than victory on opening night. But the Galway Greyhounds haven't travelled from Ireland simply to make up the numbers. Galway bring the green and gold into New Mexico determined to silence the home crowd and begin their Premier Conference campaign with a prized victory on American soil. Patient, relentless and always dangerous, the Greyhounds will be ready to hunt from the opening whistle.
